UK Government consults on future mobility regulation

The UK’s Department of Transport is consulting on the regulation of Micro-Mobility solutions, Flexible Bus Services, PHV taxi services and Mobility as a Service (MaaS). The long awaited review could give the green light for the use of e-scooters, albeit with certain health and safety requirements. It also seeks to assess the need for regulation to facilitate integrated travel platforms under MaaS models and re-ignites the debate on the outdated PHV regulatory regime.

This round of the consultation closes on 22 May 2020.
